Elizabeth Learns to Ride!
Elizabeth Learns to Ride!
(Saturday, March 8, 2008) Elizabeth, first grandchild of Allen Swanson and Elizabeth Bunting, learned to ride a two-wheeler bicycle without training wheels!
A Few Mishaps
Grandpa had to help with a few strong pushes to get her started. Once up and rolling stopping became an issue. Elizabeth crashed and burned a couple of times while trying to stop. Fortunately, no skin was broken, and feelings were left unhurt.
Back on Track
After three or four attempts Elizabeth was an expert at riding the entire perimeter of the school yard. Stopping was still an issue, but she was quickly learning to put her feet down as she slowed.
Lisa, Elizabeth's mother, was impressed with her daughter's ability to ride. I think Elizabeth was pretty impressed too. We'll have to wait for the movie to see just how impressed Grandma was!

Kissed by a Boy!
Kissed by a Boy!
(March 2008 at the Park) Aiden, son of David and Alison, layed a big one on Emily Matilda this week. Emily just laughed it off. She's a little too young to be thinking about what a kiss can mean!
Aiden was not impressed by Emily's reaction. When asked what he thought should have happend, Aiden replied, "Is it lunch time? I'm hungry." Betsy just laughed!
Alison was taken aback that her son was so forward with the girls. "There's going to be a problem when he get's older. Those girls just won't leave him alone. I just know it! Look at Emily's reaction! She just loves his kisses."
We'll have to wait and see what happens. They have a few years before they're old enough to figure out what comes next.
